Sony FX3A dips below $4,000 on Amazon during Prime Big Deal Days

Amazon’s product page for the Sony FX3A briefly showed the camera at $3,998, a level the retailer’s own price-history indicator marks as the camera’s cheapest Amazon listing so far in 2026. The reduction appears as part of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days promotion.

That sticker price sits under the camera’s usual list price of $4,299.99, which makes the cut roughly $302 in absolute terms, or about 7% off the list figure. For many buyers the headline number will be the sub-$4,000 tag itself rather than the percentage change.

At the time the listing was checked, Amazon’s pages listed both the FX3A and the original FX3 at $3,998. The same snapshot showed used examples beginning from $3,387, and it recorded the price check as 2026-10-06 06:31:08 UTC.

Amazon labels the offer as a limited-time deal and ties it to Prime Big Deal Days, the retailer’s 48-hour Prime-only sales event that runs October 6–7. The retailer also indicates that new deal drops are introduced three times per day during the event, a cadence that can shift which listings are active and at what price.

That combination of limited-time tags and frequent refreshes means there’s no certainty the $3,998 listing will persist for the whole 48-hour window. Availability and price can change as the event progresses, and Amazon’s own notation shows the listing and its price at the time the page was viewed.

For buyers and renters who track price thresholds, the FX3A moving below $4,000 can be meaningful. The camera’s appearance at $3,998 places it inside a price band where some buyers begin to compare full-frame cinema bodies with high-end mirrorless stills cameras, and where rental-house and upgrade decisions can shift. Still, the concrete savings on paper — roughly $302, or roughly 7% — is modest compared with the larger, double-digit discounts sometimes seen in flash sales.

The listing snapshot also shows the original FX3 at the same $3,998 price point, a detail that could factor into decisions for buyers weighing differences between the two models. Used listings were shown from $3,387 in the same product view.

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days structure — two days of Prime-exclusive offers with multiple deal drops daily — means shoppers may see price movement several times over the October 6–7 window. The offer’s limited-time designation means the $3,998 tag carries no built-in guarantee that it will remain available for the entire event.

If you’re tracking the FX3A for production or purchase, take the $3,998 listing as a point-in-time snapshot tied to Amazon’s Big Deal Days activity and its dynamic deal cadence. The product page’s price-history marker is the basis for the claim that the $3,998 level is the camera’s lowest Amazon price in 2026, and the page itself shows the various new, used and original-model price points that were live when the check was made.
