DigitalFoto Launches THANOS-PROCINE ELITE Camera Stabilizer at IBC 2026
A carbon fiber sled, new iso-elastic arm and redesigned vest for payloads up to 30kg.

DigitalFoto has introduced the THANOS-PROCINE ELITE, an upgraded version of its THANOS-PROCINE camera stabilizer platform, demoed at the company's booth at IBC 2026 by Malcolm Modele.
The ELITE is based on the existing THANOS-PROCINE platform but with upgraded components that the company says provide more precision and comfort. The biggest changes concern the vest and the iso-elastic arm, both of which have been redesigned for this release.
The system consists of three main parts: a carbon fiber sled, an all-new iso-elastic arm and a redesigned vest. Together they support payloads ranging from 5kg/11 lbs up to 30kg/66.1 lbs, counting both the camera setup and the post.
The sled is built from carbon fiber and includes a V-mount battery mount along with pass-through SDI and power ports at 12, 16, and 24V, with power protection built in. That makes it possible to run a camera and accessories from a single battery while keeping video and power cabling tidy along the post.
The new vest moves to a more minimal, breathable design. A pump on the back lets operators tighten the fit, providing extra support to the lower spine during long shoots. The vest redesign is aimed at comfort for camera operators who spend extended periods wearing the system.
The all-new iso-elastic arm is designed to maintain constant height with minimal effort. It features two dials: one for spring tension and one for camera height. These controls let operators adjust the feel of the arm and the operating height without tools, which should speed up setup between shots and make it easier to hand the rig between operators of different sizes.
The THANOS-PROCINE ELITE is expected to be available around October/November 2026, priced competitively. The full kit, which includes the vest, the arm and the post in two carrying cases, is priced at €6,800 (around $7,800).
For productions in the GCC, the payload range matters: at the lower end of 5kg/11 lbs, the rig can carry mirrorless and compact cinema camera bodies, while the maximum payload of 30kg gives room for larger cinema cameras with cine lenses, wireless video, follow focus and other accessories attached.
The V-mount battery mount on the sled is a common standard across the industry, so productions running V-mount batteries for lights and monitors can share power stock across the camera department. The pass-through SDI and power ports at 12, 16, and 24V cover the voltage requirements of many cinema cameras and on-board accessories, and the built-in power protection is intended to keep the camera safe from power issues on set.
The launch positions the THANOS-PROCINE ELITE against DigitalFoto's own existing THANOS-PROCINE platform, with the upgraded components providing more precision and comfort rather than changing the fundamental design. Operators already familiar with the THANOS-PROCINE will find the same three-part architecture — sled, arm and vest — refined in the areas that affect day-to-day handling most.
The two-dial control scheme on the new arm is a notable detail. Spring tension determines how much support the arm gives for a given load, and camera height determines the operating position. Having both as dedicated dials means changes can be made quickly on set, rather than requiring the operator to step out of the vest and adjust the rig between takes.
The pump-based fit adjustment on the vest is similarly practical. Rather than relying solely on straps, the pump on the back provides tighter fit and extra support to the lower spine, which addresses one of the most common complaints about stabilizer vests on long shooting days.
The full kit ships in two carrying cases — one for the vest, arm and post as included in the kit — which affects how productions transport the system between locations. For rental houses and production companies weighing a purchase, the €6,800 (around $7,800) kit price covers the complete system needed to start shooting.
DigitalFoto showed the THANOS-PROCINE ELITE in operation at IBC 2026, with Malcolm Modele demoing the system at the company's booth and demonstrating its maximum payload of 30kg with the redesigned vest and iso-elastic arm.
With availability expected around October/November 2026, the THANOS-PROCINE ELITE arrives as the industry heads into its busiest production season, giving operators an upgraded option within DigitalFoto's stabilizer lineup.
