ZEISS Milvus 25mm f/1.4 ZE for Canon EF drops to $999 USD

ZEISS’s Milvus 25mm f/1.4 ZE for Canon EF has been marked down, putting the lens at a new price point for those using Canon EF mounts. The listing notes the reduced cost and spells out the saving explicitly: "You can save $1,475 USD on the ZEISS Milvus 25mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF" and that you can "purchase it for $999 USD." These figures come directly from the seller’s announcement.

The Milvus 25mm occupies a classic wide‑angle focal length in ZEISS’s lineup. ZEISS positions the Canon EF‑mount version as useful across a range of assignments, calling it a "versatile prime well-suited to a variety of shooting applications" and specifically naming landscape, nature, architecture, interior work and astrophotography in the product summary.

Optically the lens offers a bright opening: ZEISS highlights the "fast f/1.4 maximum aperture" as a core specification. That aperture is central to how the Milvus 25mm is described in the facts provided and is repeated among the lens’ key numbers. The combination of a 25mm field of view with an f/1.4 maximum aperture is what ZEISS has presented for this model.

This price adjustment reduces the barrier for photographers and filmmakers who want a wide, high‑speed prime for Canon EF systems. The announcement frames the move as a substantial temporary saving on an established ZEISS optic. Anyone tracking wide‑angle primes for landscape, interior or night‑sky shooting may find the revised figure notable given the lens’ stated role.

If you already use ZEISS Milvus glass or are considering a fast 25mm for Canon EF cameras, the new price and the stated saving are the two headline takeaways from the verified information. The product name, focal length and maximum aperture remain central to how the lens is presented in the facts: ZEISS Milvus 25mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF, 25mm and f/1.4.
